Porter / Maintenance Worker Reports To:
Desk staff / Managers General Purpose of Job:
To ensure hotel grounds and rooms are in good working order and appearance to best accommodate guests.
Essential Functions:
Clean lobby windows, doors, floors, walls, furniture, stairs, and vending machines.
Keep lobby area clear of debris and stock deliveries.
Keep hallways clear and vacuum carpets.
Keep parking lot and front of building clean and clear of debris, leaves, and snow.
Make general repairs, change light bulbs, paint, clear clogged plumbing fixtures, and moving guest room furnishings.
Maintain neat and clean equipment, storage rooms, laundry room, and supplies.
Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude towards guests and coworkers.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance; and arrive on time, ready to work.
Respect all hotel equipment and property; and use with care to avoid unnecessary damage.
Complete general room cleaning when assigned by supervisor.
Label and submit all lost and found items to the supervisor immediately.
Complete all other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to read and write.
Must be able to see, hear, and communicate with supervisors Must have constant and repetitive movements of fingers, hands, and wrists.
Must be able to bend and kneel on a continual basis.
Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours.
